And so our continuing look at Matt 10 now begins to encompass not only cultural resistance to the gospel, but to the clash of the two kingdoms, the Kingdom of God and the kingdom of darkness or evil, as well. There is a stirring of the Holy Spirit in the church, as there was among the Jews of Israel in Jesus’ day. The Jews, for the most part, excepting what we commonly refer to as “the remnant” rejected the Son of God, which culminated in the progressive demonization of that people. God stayed his hand for a generation, giving them time and opportunity to repent, but they chose darkness and resistance to God’s grace, so judgment fell in 70 A.D. Today, this stirring is producing similar results. People are being saved, yes, but far more are becoming hardened in their resistance to God’s grace. How should we be addressing these issues in our culture? Join the 3 Guys and let’s discover that together.
